And even in that sprint, the theme doesn’t necessarily change but it becomes a lot more introspective and it fully concentrates on the main character instead of the the whole town.Īfter you finish the story, it gives you a journal as an extra that explains everything going on behind the scenes, it’s a bias but I enjoy these kinds of features, it’s my favorite part. And I kind of get it, eventually the madness has to drop and it’s meant to destroy the pacing but I felt like it was a little too soon. It’s paced quite well for the majority of the time until the last 1/3, then it felt like a sprint to the finish. There’s some that are on her side but not really in a altruistic sense. There’s some assholes, most are comically evil, yet it makes sense with the constant mob mentality. And life goes on, she’s mentally fucked up and mostly unresponsive. Now she’s seen as unclean, is isolated and bullied in town. And she was fine, placed as an oracle until she went somewhere she wasn’t meant to and the visions changed. So the plot is about a girl that can see stuff that no one else can. But even if it’s not unique, not much really is, and it’s something you experience less often than most vns. And even if you didn’t there’s an extras that goes in-depth on what exactly transpired. I’m pretty sure they point at it here and there throughout the plot. Sure it’s not unique, and you’re probably going to figure out what’s happening. There’s not much to say about the art or the soundtrack, It’s kind of like Brass Restoration where I liked it solely based on the plot or specific themes. A lot of your favorite horror movies are probably in the looser form, maybe due to how easy you could relate to it. It’s not the purest form but the genre would be pretty limiting if you go that route. Though it depends on the scope, like if it’s just inside a family home, a village or an island. It’s generally based on a scenario that’s seemingly normal and it incrementally devolves to the point of manic societal collapse. I don’t know the ins and outs of it, I feel like what is and isn’t denpa is dependent on the person. It’s in the denpa genre and you don’t see a lot of those hitting the US. It was pretty short, I think it took like 4 hours to read. So I read Soundless recently and I had a pretty good time with it.
